if you live in my house...

then you have to deal with a daily dose of legos.  miles is forever taking them apart and putting them back together.  he has wars with them, makes them ride his skateboard and has lots of other adventures with them.  then today i was browsing cathy z.'s blog and she posted this:

"Turns out the money you spend on Legos just may be worth it..."

she found a blog  (click on orange word to view blog) that shows a daily pic of lego's in action.  it's awesome! i need to share it with miles, he'll LOVE it and i'm sure he'll try to copy all the photos.

the sickness

we got up monday morning, finished getting ready to head back to santa maria.  maisy was fine, she had a bottle, ate breakfast and actually got to go down for a short nap before we headed to the airport. we get to the airport and there are like 400 people in line... we were freaking out a bit that we weren't going to make our flight, so we cut in front of a bunch of people. we get to security, put our stuff through the machine, and we go through the machine.  of course i set the beeper thing off.  so i have to had maisy to sam sam.  we finally all make it through fine.  just as sam sam was going to get her stuff off the belt, maisy projectile vomits onto sam sam and a large part of the security area. we cleaned up the best we could.  finally we board the plane to seattle.  maisy did ok, she fell asleep the last 20 minutes of the flight.  we arrive in seattle and it is snowing like CRAZY... we don't have jackets. luckily i had a blanket to wrap around maisy.  we went from one flight directly to the next because we were delayed leaving bend.  maisy is sitting on my lap we are only about a 1/2 hour into the flight and maisy decides to throw up all over again.  thank goodness i had the blanket, because if i didn't i'd of had vomit all over my lap. she was miserable the rest of the flight.  she did fall asleep finally for about 45mins.  she's been sick ever since.  not vomiting, but the other end (which by the way i find a lot worse than vomit)  sam sam wanted me to document this day somehow, because she said it was one of her most memorable travel experiences ever, not the best, just most memorable.

bad habits start early...

when you are an ebner boy, you are destined to love, soaking in the hot tub, smoking cigars, eating ice cream, riding quads and enjoying life to the fullest.  here are the boys starting in on the soakin' and smokin'. of course the boys aren't really smoking but they thought it would be fun to look like they were.  and i'm not sure if you can tell from the picture's, but they are soaking in the snow.  they thought it was so much fun to have the snow fall on their heads while they enjoy the warmth of the hot tub.

working wonders children's museum

last year when miles went to oregon, sam sam took him and tanner to working wonder's children's museum.  it looked like so much fun and the kids loved it, i wanted to make sure we went while i was here. this place is awesome!  it is all on one floor, but there are several different "activity" areas.  there is a pizza kitchen, vet's office, tv station, grocery store, a rock wall, a place to paint, and science room, as well as a spot that has huge foam lincoln logs. it only cost $6 and they allow strollers unlike the slo childrens museum... remember this post
there was also a room for kids under the age of 18 months. maisy loved the little ball "pool". we all had a great time and the kids were so good.

halloween in march

since sam sam doesn't get to see tanner over the holidays, she decided to do
some of the holidays in
march while they were all together.  before maisy and i arrived, they did christmas. no presents, but they decorated cupcakes with christmas colored frosting.  then when we arrived sam sam had it all planned out to do halloween.  first the boys got to make orange and black jello jigglers, then they wore their skull clothes and masks and went "trick-or-treating" at the neighbors house.  unfortunately miles was not feeling very well and did not
want to go to the door to get his goodies. he just stood at the end of the driveway crying.

making jello jigglers...

our travels to bend

i think most of you know miles has been in bend, OR.  miles and sam sam (grandma) left a week ago saturday.  on monday maisy and i hopped on a plane and headed to bend as well.  as you can tell from the first picture, maisy was already pretty tired.  that was taken at around 10:00 am in santa barbara.  we were both really tired.  i had just returned from my weekend of scrappin' and maisy was getting over a weekend of being with babysitters.  who knows how much sleep she actually got all weekend. so i thought for sure she would be out for the count once we got in the air.  NO WAY!  she was fighting sleep the whole flight.  so i just kept feeding her snacks and played games with her. her eyes were so heavy,  but as soon as i went to lay her down they would pop back open and she'd want to play some more.  of course she finally fell asleep about 20 mins. before we landed in seattle.  needless to say, that was all she slept ALL DAY LONG, 20 mins. that's it.  i have to say all in all she did a good job for being so tired.
