thanksgiving 2010

we were so excited to have grammy and dedad here for thanksgiving this year. miles' class did a thanksgiving "feast" with soup. dad helped my make a very, very yummy chicken noodle soup... it was a big hit with all the kids. grammy found this fun idea in a magazine to make cookie turkey's miles and grammy made enough to give one to each student in his class. they came out really cute. on thanksgiving day, we watched the macy's parade, stayed in our jammies and cooked a turkey for us to have because we had thanksgiving dinner at papa and sam sam's. it was a fun and relaxing day spent with great people eating great food.

wedding day...

another ebner boy has entered wedded bliss... congratulations to damon and ashley ebner. they were married on october 30, in thousand oaks at damon's mother's home. the weather was great and the bride looked beautiful. here are a few pics from the day.

not for the squeamish...

we have a tree next to our house that is home to a few of these beauties! miles thinks it's the coolest. maisy thinks it's yucky!

halloween 2010

as much as i like halloween, i admit i am glad when it's over. we started the night carving pumpkins, then we made homemade pizzas, got dressed and headed out for the night. we had a fun night, trick-or-treated for about 2 hours, we were so tired when we got home, we didn't even make it over to papa and sam sam's. maisy's costume was a big hit, as well as the kids treat bags.  it seems like every halloween we as rushing around to get out of the house. so next year, we are breaking tradition and carving pumpkins the day before and we are getting dressed earlier so i can get the kids out front to take pics before it's dark. the pics of the kids in front of the house were actually taken 2 days later... oh well. happy halloween!
