Patriots are heading to the Super Bowl! Maybe I need to have a party!

I know this is common sense, but I just didn't do it. I usually let the kids watch a little TV in the morning while they eat breakfast. This gave me a few minutes to get stuff together for the kids for the day.  Well what I found out was I was doing more yelling then getting anything done. The kids became like zombies. They couldn't listen to me, eat their breakfast or do anything else. Now when we watch TV together at night after dinner they are fine, but in the morning FORGET IT. So January 1st we started the no TV in the morning, and it has been wonderful. No yelling and we are never running late. It is so nice and the kids seem to be doing ok with it. I know some people do the no TV during the week rule, and I like that too, but we are going to have to ease into that one.

To Project Life or Not to Project Life

It's a new year, which means it's time to start Project Life or Project 365 again. I didn't do it lat year because I felt like it was so repetitive and if you looked at my past PL's you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between years. But I am feeling like I need to do it again, and I am LOVING the new products. I have kind of been taking pics for the past 12 days, but I have also been collecting "stuff" and I really want to incorporate that into my PL this year, I really hadn't done that in the past. I did order the Cobalt Edition and love it. So maybe I have already made up my mind. Wish me luck!

We're Back...

We got in to San Luis late last night. The flights were uneventful, which is always nice. Our trip to Massachusetts was fun and low key, just what I wanted. I got to spend lots of time with my new nephew, one day I sat for an hour just holding him while he slept in my arms. We spent time playing at the park, riding bikes, staying up late, sleeping in and drinking dunkin' donuts iced coffee. I had some wonderful dinner dates with my brother and sister-in-law, as well as my best friend Debbi.  Aidan and Maisy still bicker over sharing, but by the second week they were getting along better. I think once they are both 4, they will hopefully get over the not sharing and telling on each other phase (fingers crossed).  I will see my parents again in May when we'll meet up in Orlando, but I won't see the rest of the family until probably July. Evan will be a little man. All in all we had a wonderful trip.

2011 Recap

So 2011 has been quite a year for the Ebner family.  We have had many, many ups and downs. Here are some of the highlights and low points from our year.

Once again, the kids and I have spent a lot of time together due to David's crazy schedule. Miles played baseball again this year, he was on the A's. His team came in first place.  Maisy turned three.  Maisy continues to enjoy and do well at preschool.  CafeFX, David's company closed. Miles entered 2nd Grade and is doing great. We spent a month in Massachusetts visiting Grammy, Grandad, Stephen, Aidan, Amanda and all of our friends and family, during that time, we went to Kennebunkport ME and enjoyed the beach, pool and LAHBSTAH.  Miles learned to waterski. He attended several camps during the summer, LEGO, skateboard and Sealife.  Maisy learned to ride a two wheeler. I took a cake decorating class. David made several trips to China and Korea. We have struggled with money and our relationship. David turned 40. Miles' soccer team came in first place in their tournament. Miles started riding on the BMX track. Pumpkin patch. Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland. Piano lessons and recitals. Miles turned 7. I have a new nephew. new year's in MA. lots of sleepless nights and lots and lots of  giggle filled days.

I am hoping that 2012 brings happiness, love, comfort, trust, courage, laughs, success and less stress. I am going to try to be more healthy, happy and positive, giving and thankful.
