missing...

our little miss jill has been missing for the last two days, which is very unlike her. i hope she is just taking a little vacation and will return to us soon. maisy keeps calling jilly, jilly, jilly. we all miss her.

our summer to do list...

when doing my daily blog reading, i came aross this idea on the blog 1825, now i didn't want to go as far as they did, but i liked the idea of writing down what we wanted to do this summer. so that's just what we did.  we have already started to check things off the list too. for example miles and david have been "camping" in the back yard. the first night miles made it until 2:30 am then he was in my bed and last night he made it until 5:30 am. we asked if he wanted to sleep out there again tonight, his answer... "i think i'll sleep in my own bed." maisy tried to sleep out there too, but she just couldn't settle down. maybe next summer...

B.D.+ K.K.

david has been working in valencia the last 2 weeks, so on wednesday the kids and i headed down to visit and hang out by the pool... (and to go to the awesome scrapbooking store there shhhh) we stayed at the marriott courtyard nice place and as you can see from the picture, very close to six flags. we hung out, went swimming watched the celtics loose :( and got to visit david on set for a little bit. this was the main reason i wanted to go. the project he's working on stars john schneider, you know Bo Duke... i had a huge crush on him when i was a kid, even carved our initials B.D + K.K on the shed in my back yard. i also remember watching him on the barbara mandrel show. of course the day i get on set he's directing, so i didn't get to meet him, but i did get to see him and he is still a VERY good looking man. he owns an orange charger, like the one he drove in the dukes of hazzard, but the 2010 version, i had to get the kids pics in front of it. david says i will definitely get to meet him at the premiere... i can't wait.

SLO children's museum

i am going to sound like a bad mom, but i HATE the SLO children's museum. i feel like i am paying for my kids to play with things we already have at home.  i know, i know... bad mommy. the thing is my kids LOVE it there. we stayed for about 2 hours the other day, left to had lunch, and the kids wanted to go back to the museum... uh, NO WAY! we walked down to the creek, had some ice cream and headed home.

side note: the red boots maisy has on in most of these pictures belonged to the museum. she put them on as soon as she got there and then proceeded to wear them the rest of the time we spent there. it was a bit of a fight to get them off and return them to the "fire station".

SUMMER IS HERE!

maybe she's ready...

the other night after we got out of the hot tub, maisy was running around with no diaper. it was time for bed, so i sent her to her room to get a diaper and jammies. she was in there a long time. so i went to check on her and she was pulling diapers out of the pink container saying "wet, wet". i thought she had an accident on the rug, but the rug was dry. she kept pointing in the diaper container. so i pulled all the diapers out and guess what, they were all wet and there was a big puddle of pee-pee on the bottom. she decided to use her diaper container as her potty. so yes, i think she's ready to train, but she just needs to learn to go in the potty.

this is the first time the farmers have grown gladiolas in this spot on the side of the 101. miles told david he thought they were so pretty. they other day i didn't have the kids in the car, so i pulled over and snapped a few shots, not the best, but you get the idea.

cousins...

miles has been making yearly trips to oregon for the past three years. his first time was in 2008 right after maisy was born. he has the BEST time when he's there, because he gets to hang out with his cousin and friend tanner. they have the best relationship. they can be apart for a year, but as soon as they get back together, it's like they were never apart. i was going through photos tonight and came across these, thought i'd share.

last day of kindergarten... hello summer

i can't believe how fast the year went by and how much miles has grown. i'm the mom of a first grader... wow!

forgot to share...

i made one of these paper bag albums for each of the kids on miles' t-ball team. david made a slide show of all the pictures from the season put it on a dvd, and we included that with the album. the kids really like them.
