to infinity and beyond...

miles got to go to his buddy jacob's birthday today... it was a buzz lightyear themed party. it is so nice that miles has a pal that lives so close. i can't believe how much taller miles is than jacob now. only a few months ago they were the same height. miles is really going through a growth spurt. his appetite is really showing his growth as well. he wants to snack all day long.

naughty, naughty girl & what's up with that face...

she's purrr-fect!!

this was one of the adorable gymboree outfits maisy got for christmas.  it had a skirt, sweater, tights and boots that all matched. the boots with the skirt crack me up because i think together they make maisy's legs look very, very short.  i just love this purrr-fect little girl!

team mom... what?

so at miles' first t-ball practice, i decided to volunteer to me the "team parent". i figured it was just about making sure the kids had snack at their games. yeah, it's a bit more than that. i am in charge of fundraising, getting the team banner, scorekeeping (not for t-ball), announcing the games, making the snack schedule and passing out the t-shirts. tonight was the team parent meeting... yeah meeting. what the heck did i get myself into?  it won't be that bad, i am glad i get to help miles' team.

t-ball

miles had his first t-ball practice today. the weather was beautiful. maisy was super tired, and had a hard time just sitting and watching. she was running all over the place, trying to keep up with miles, kind of funny. miles' coach is great, really knows how to work with kids. they practiced fielding and running the bases. i volunteered to be the team mom. not sure what i got myself into, but we'll see. we have another practice on wednesday. i'll give you all a t-ball update after his first game.

valentine's day 2010

we had a great great valentine's day today. david took the kids this morning so i could sleep in. at about 8:00am i put my ear plugs in and let david deal with them when they woke up. they had fun together. i slept until noon. WOW!!! i don't remember the last time i was able to do that. when i got up maisy went down for a nap and miles and i did some crafting. when maisy got up we all went on a bike ride. miles has been dying to show me the jumps that he and david go on. it was fun to see him in his element. after that we went to the playground and then got some frozen yogurt. we ended the day with a delicious dinner at papa and sam sam's. it was so nice spending valentine's day with the family.

happy valentine's day (early)

david and i decided to celebrate valentine's day a day early to avoid the craziness of the actual day. we wanted to go to this restaurant in templeton called mcphee's, but they had no reservations available. but when we went to the website, we found out there's a mcphee's in avila beach. we made an early reservation and headed to dinner at 5:00. the food was great and the company was even better. it was nice to talk to a grown up for a change. it made me realize david and i really need to have more date nights.

heart day party...

today was miles' valentine's party at school. my friend ana did an awesome job planning and organizing fun activities and goodies for the kids. they made adorable teddy bear frames with their pictures in them has well as a candy necklaces. there were lots of goodies to be eaten, cookies, brownies and fruit. when the kids finished eating they went inside and passed out their valentine cards. a fun day was had by all. maisy did a great job hanging out with the big kids. she loved every minute of it.

tonight, david and i were folding clothes while miles was playing guitar hero.  maisy was helping david and i pull clothes out of the basket. she pulled miles' spongebob jammie top out, looked at it and said "ba bob". david and i looked at each other in shock and asked her who it was on the shirt. once again she said ba-bob. we have no idea how she learned that. i let miles watch it rarely, and if he is watching it, it's usually in the other room, and maisy is not with him. it is amazing to me how everyday she is saying something new and starting to put words together.  keep up the good work little girl!

taking a break...

i made it through january with a post everyday, so i decided to take a few days off. tonight i have to go back for another sleep study, but this time i will be wearing the CPAP machine and the techs will be adjusting the oxygen levels. i'll let you all know how it goes. tomorrow, i am going to a crop. it is from 6pm-4am. i hope to get a lot of scrapbooking done. that's it for now.
