trouble with blog and missing camera...

i've been trying to post pics in my blog, and have been having a bunch of trouble. my pictures keep coming back "failed". i've have never had this problem before. so sorry for the lack of pictures. the other reason i've been lacking photos is because i can't find my point and shoot. it is driving me CRAZY! i've been looking everywhere. i am pretty sure it's in the house, so i have been organizing while i've been looking, so the house is getting organized, but i still haven't found my camera. i have to say being on prednisone has certainly helped with my motivation (kinda like being on speed). hopefully my camera shows up soon!!!

i should have known...

i finally have some answers as to why i have been feeling like crap for the last few weeks. i am having another outbreak of erythema nodosum go ahead and read about it. i have been having outbreaks since i was about 5. i missed most of kindergarten because of the pain. my mom said it was so sad to watch me walk, because she could tell i was in agony. i have had several outbreaks throughout my life. the worst i can remember is when i was pregnant with maisy. my ankles swelled up, and the pain was awful. so with all the symptoms i have had lately i should have know what was going on.  i went to the doctor, a new doctor, so i am thinking i am going to have to explain this whole thing again, tell him my whole history. but he knew what it was, he asked all the right questions and prescribed the right medication, prednisone... YUCK! so for the next few weeks, i'll be living on prednisone and advil for the joint pain. please bear with me if i tend to be a little grumpier than usual... EN usually makes me pretty miserable. i am hoping to be over all of this before our trip to myrtle beach at the end of may. thanks everyone for putting up with me over the past few weeks.

6th birthday fun...

the whole family headed to lompoc to help miles' friend garrett celebrate his 6th birthday. the lompoc aquatic center is AWESOME! as you can see in the first two pics there are 2 awesome areas for the kids. we just stayed in the area shown in the first picture. miles and maisy just loved it!  miles was all over the place hanging out with his buddies. maisy wasn't as sure about the structure, but once david got her to go down one of the slides with him, she just didn't want to stop. we had a wonderful day, swimming, pizza, birthday cake and friends, can't ask for anything better.

the journey begins...

i signed maisy up for pre-school yesterday. she is all set to start in the fall except for one little challenge. we need to get her potty trained. we headed to target and picked out some big girl panties. we had the big girl panties talk and how she needs to tell mommy when she has to go. her potty is in the living room for quick access. i know this is going to be a long process and really push my patience, so to all of you out there who have potty trained girls, i can use ANY suggestions and tricks you may have.

AUNTIE CHARLOTTE!  charlotte came to visit us during spring break. she spent sooo much time with maisy. i was glad they got to have so much girl time. but i was sad miles didn't really get to spend much time with her because he was in oregon. of course charlotte made sure she had quality time with miles the 2 days they had together. auntie charlotte told miles they could do anything he wanted to, so they spent sunday afternoon at boomers and then came home and cooked together. we love you so much auntie charlotte. can't wait to see you in myrtle beach!

the O.C.

since i was so sick, we decided NOT to make the 14+ hour drive to oregon. instead i slept ALOT and we made a trip to visit auntie jody in orange county. i LOVE visiting jody, one because she is just awesome and two because there is such good shopping. we picked up jody and headed to p.f. chang's and fashion island. i love fashion island, because they have a hannah anderson store. i got maisy a couple of sundresses. we did some more shopping and then decided it was time for YOGURTLAND!!! this place is so yummy, we make a trip here every visit. i had never seen where jody works, so we stopped by the living room salon before dinner, what an awesome place to work.  then we headed out for dinner at el ranchito. they have really good mexican food and it's in a beautiful spot. finally we stopped at our hotel and jody became hair stylist for the evening. she cut charlotte's hair, maisy's hair and gave me a brazilian blowout.  i love my hair now, no more frizzies and it is so much easier to style.

so thanks jody for having us. we all had a "SHOCKINGLY" good time... he he he

my mom was disappointed she couldn't see maisy's shoes in any of the easter pictures i posted. so, here they are. yup, little miss thing wore heels... he he he.

easter 2010

thanks to aunt becky, we had a great little easter celebration. she cooked a delicious ham dinner and auntie charlotte made her yummy mac & cheese. aunt becky also put together a little easter egg hunt for maisy in the house since it was raining out when we arrived. maisy LOVED it. she totally "got it!"... she was looking in things, over things and under things. we are going to do another egg hunt when brother returns from oregon, and i think maisy is going to give him a run for his money...

dunlap jog-a-thon 2010

miles was so excited to participate in his 1st jog-a-thon. he did a great job. he jogged most of the time taking a few walking breaks here and there. in the end miles ended up doing 20 laps. he was very proud of himself. miles is so excited that he has collected enough donations to attend a trip to the local pool and a pizza party. but what miles really wants to do is win a chance at throwing a pie at mr. dana(the principal) i'll keep you all updated.

happy easter!

as most of you know, i have been a bit under the weather. this easter is so different than past easters. miles is out of town, and maisy is staying with my sister-in-law. so we didn't have the excited kids finding their easter baskets and our morning egg hunt. but i am ok with it. the kids are having a great time where they are. we are having easter dinner at aunt becky's tonight and maisy will be in her easter dress and do an egg hunt (thanks, becky). i will post pictures later.

p.s. we are going to "easter" when miles comes home from oregon.
