a new word...

just wanted to share this picture... i just love this little girl. she is so much fun to be around. oh, and she has a new word, "grass" or as she says it "ass" ha ha ha!  going to an all day crop tomorrow, hope to get a lot done.  have a wonderful weekend everybody!

slow down please...

i was helping miles finish cleaning up his room the other night. maisy had been wandering in and out of his room. i hadn't seen her for a few minutes. and she was very quiet. when i walked into the living room, this is what i found. maisy had crawled up on the couch, got comfortable and was watching hannah montana. she was so into it, like she new exactly what was going on.when she realized i was watching her, she gave me a big smile and started giggling. i just love this little girl. she is growing up waaay too fast.

move over beyonce...

maisy loves to dance. anytime she hears music, she starts to move and clap her hands. she also likes to sing and can be heard humming and singing around the house. one day i showed her the "all the single ladies" video on my laptop and she loved it.  so every time i open my laptop, she points to it sings "oh oh oh" and waves her hand back and forth like they do in the video.  it's hilarious! i'll try to get a video of her next time.

she's naughty...

i can't leave maisy alone for one second! i walked from my living room to the kitchen and back which probably took all of 20 seconds and when i returned to the living room, this is what i walked in on.  of course i told her she was naughty and she wasn't allowed to climb on the "glass" coffee table... but i had to get a picture first. i know, i know, naughty mommy.

training for the future...

we are starting to give miles chores around the house. he's always had to keep his room picked up, and he feeds the cats, but now we have him unloading the silverware from the dishwasher. he was so excited to do this and he felt like such a big boy.  he told me that he wants to bring the trash cans in after trash day. i'm starting to train him early, his future wife will thank me.

my little gymnast

when miles was about 2 i started him in the mommy and me gymnastics. maisy is a little younger, but i felt like i needed to get her involved with something and gymnastics was it. she's had 2 classes so far, and i think she's loving it. she is the youngest in the class, so she can't do some of the things the other kids can do, and i am chasing her around because she wants to check out all the fun equipment. but she is doing better following directions and trying the different techniques.  coach emily is so patient and encouraging and works really well with maisy.  

halloween 2009

david made it home last night at  around 4:00 and he and miles carved pumpkins.  they came out AWESOME!   then we ate pizza, and got the kids into their costumes. we tried to take pictures, miles was a trooper and all about the posing. maisy on the other hand wanted nothing to do with it. at that point she earned the name "the very grouchy ladybug"... we went trick-or-treating with our neighbors bobby, stephanie, whitney and miles' buddy jacob. we were out for about 2 hours and there was a whole group of kids running door to door, which miles just loved.  we got home, went through miles' candy, (ate a few peices) the kids got into their halloween jammies and they headed to bed, exhausted from a very fun night.
