bed buddies...

i could hear maisy "talking" in her crib the other day when she woke up from her nap.  when i walked in, maisy was so excited to show me something in her crib.  i had no idea what it could be. so i look in her crib and she was pointing very proudly at her stuffed animals. she had lined all her stuffed animals up against the side of the crib, like they were watching over her. she was just so pleased with herself, it was too cute.

the rookie

miles has been playing rookie basketball at the local YMCA. each week they learn a new skill, like dribbling, passing, shooting and playing defense. Next week is their final session, and they will play a "real" game using the skills they have learned. two weeks ago they got their t-shirts and team photos taken. they also had individual photos taken. i don't have a scanner, so this is a photo of a photo, so please excuse the poor quality. i will try to get video of his "game" and share it next week. happy hump day!

sneak peek...

i have been diligently constructing my december daily album. i am using ali edwards' dec. daily as my inspiration. i've been having so much fun collecting and assembling all my christmas stash. as soon as it's complete i'll take a picture of each page to share with you. for those of you who don't know what a december daily album is, it's simple. it's a mini album used to document the days leading up to christmas. i'll take a picture a day from dec 1-25 and journal about the things we do each day. can't wait to get started, christmas is right around the corner.

slides, "augies" and tag, oh my...

at 4:00 yesterday afternoon, i decided to take the kids to the park.  it was such a nice afternoon, and i hadn't seen the kids all day saturday, i thought it would be fun. and it was. i was surprised how many families were at the playground at that time. miles made friends with a group of kids his age and played a rousing game of freeze tag. maisy ran around,climbed all the structures and was infatuated with all the dogs, she would point and say "augie" (doggie). we'll have to go to the park at that time more often. hope everyone has a wonderful week.  good luck to kelly and andy today... and can't wait to meet baby addyson.

i love that maisy's hair is finally growing. I love putting it in two pony tails, unfortunately she doesn't keep them in very long. most of the time i leave it down, just pinning her bangs back because they are always in her eyes. she really needs a trim, but i just can't bring myself to do it yet.  had a great day scrapping yesterday, got a lot accomplished.  will share tomorrow. happy sunday!

a new word...

just wanted to share this picture... i just love this little girl. she is so much fun to be around. oh, and she has a new word, "grass" or as she says it "ass" ha ha ha!  going to an all day crop tomorrow, hope to get a lot done.  have a wonderful weekend everybody!
