1st soccer game...

miles had his first soccer game on saturday. he was so excited. i was a little nervous, because other than mommy and me soccer, he has no experience. at practices they have been going over some of the rules, but he can't learn all the rules in in 4 practices. so the game was interesting. at one point when a team member was throwing the ball in, miles caught it. coach was very understanding and said it is so natural for the kids to to that. they are trying to protect their face. then at another point the other team tried to score, and our goalie stopped it. he picked up the ball and threw it in... miles caught it. he thought the goalie was throwing it to him. he didn't get that the ball was still in play. other than those two little mistakes, he did really well. i know it will get better as the season goes on. they ended up losing the game 4-3. not too bad!
