the girl got pierced...

i was going to get maisy's pierced on her birthday, but since she was so sick, i put it off until my parents got here. so last wednesday, my mom and i took maisy to claire's to get her ear's done.  i filled out the paperwork, and took a few pictures of her sitting in my mom's lap (they don't allow pictures during the process... whatever) and it was time. i held maisy on my lap, the technician put dots where the earrings were suppose to go and then it happened.  i held maisy head as still as i could. the earring went in and although maisy looked surprised, no tears.  the technician moves quickly to the next ear.  the earring goes in and BOOM, maisy screams and the tears start.  we gave maisy a lollipop, and she was fine.  she doesn't even know she has the earrings.  she's touched them a few times, but hasn't tried to pull them out. these two pics were the best i could get.  maisy is not a little girl who likes to sit still...

i LOVE the bling, i am so happy i decided to get them done now.

finally a first birthday...

as you all know maisy has been really sick for the that 2 weeks. i have had her birthday party planned for a while, but when she got sick, i wasn't sure if we were going to be able to have it.  thankfully she was on the mend starting thursday. each day you could tell she was feeling better, she was eating more and looking and feeling much stronger.  by today, she was 97% back to herself. we had a very nice day, no rain, which was predicted.  just a small family party.  maisy was sooo happy. she loved when we sang "happy birthday" to her,  played with her balloons, ate her cupcake and opened her gifts.  i was so happy to have my healthy happy little girl back.   HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!

birthday girl...

Maisy Olivia Ebner only a few hours old
3.18.08

today was was maisy's first birthday... i thought i'd be posting lots of pictures of her in her birthday hat, opening presents and eating cake. unfortunately, poor maisy is sick as a dog. it all started a week ago monday on our way home from oregon.  she's had diarrhea since then and due to that she's got diaper rash, really bad diaper rash. we've been to the doctor, and they tell me it has to run it's course.  well, i am getting really tired of waiting it out.  i want my healthy, happy little girl back.  i hope by sunday when we
have her birthday party she'll be feeling better. so today we sang her happy birthday and that was it.  i'll post pictures as soon as she is well enough to take some.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!  i can't believe, you are a year old, time is going by much to fast.  please enjoy every minute of everyday.  i love you.

happy st. patrick's day 2009

"leprechaun cereal"

i don't usually don't do anything special for st. patrick's day.  but this year i got the kids some st. patty's day t-shirt's ($5 at target) made "leprechaun" cereal for breakfast and even had corned beef and cabbage for dinner, (thanks sam sam).  maisy was not feeling 100% today, due to teething, but i did get a cute pic of  her in her green and then i got one when she was showing how she really felt today.  i think the pic of her crying is hilarious, seeing that her shirt says "kiss me i'm cute". and of course miles' preschool  celebrated the day with shamrocks on their cheeks, green eggs and ham for snack and a sign hanging over the front door that said... "kiss me i'm irish for the day".  miles just loved saying that all day.

if you live in my house...

then you have to deal with a daily dose of legos.  miles is forever taking them apart and putting them back together.  he has wars with them, makes them ride his skateboard and has lots of other adventures with them.  then today i was browsing cathy z.'s blog and she posted this:

"Turns out the money you spend on Legos just may be worth it..."

she found a blog  (click on orange word to view blog) that shows a daily pic of lego's in action.  it's awesome! i need to share it with miles, he'll LOVE it and i'm sure he'll try to copy all the photos.

the sickness

we got up monday morning, finished getting ready to head back to santa maria.  maisy was fine, she had a bottle, ate breakfast and actually got to go down for a short nap before we headed to the airport. we get to the airport and there are like 400 people in line... we were freaking out a bit that we weren't going to make our flight, so we cut in front of a bunch of people. we get to security, put our stuff through the machine, and we go through the machine.  of course i set the beeper thing off.  so i have to had maisy to sam sam.  we finally all make it through fine.  just as sam sam was going to get her stuff off the belt, maisy projectile vomits onto sam sam and a large part of the security area. we cleaned up the best we could.  finally we board the plane to seattle.  maisy did ok, she fell asleep the last 20 minutes of the flight.  we arrive in seattle and it is snowing like CRAZY... we don't have jackets. luckily i had a blanket to wrap around maisy.  we went from one flight directly to the next because we were delayed leaving bend.  maisy is sitting on my lap we are only about a 1/2 hour into the flight and maisy decides to throw up all over again.  thank goodness i had the blanket, because if i didn't i'd of had vomit all over my lap. she was miserable the rest of the flight.  she did fall asleep finally for about 45mins.  she's been sick ever since.  not vomiting, but the other end (which by the way i find a lot worse than vomit)  sam sam wanted me to document this day somehow, because she said it was one of her most memorable travel experiences ever, not the best, just most memorable.

bad habits start early...

when you are an ebner boy, you are destined to love, soaking in the hot tub, smoking cigars, eating ice cream, riding quads and enjoying life to the fullest.  here are the boys starting in on the soakin' and smokin'. of course the boys aren't really smoking but they thought it would be fun to look like they were.  and i'm not sure if you can tell from the picture's, but they are soaking in the snow.  they thought it was so much fun to have the snow fall on their heads while they enjoy the warmth of the hot tub.
